Chargers

Interstate Ferro chargers substan­tially reduce electric truck charging costs and are virtually maintenance-free. The advanced transformer design makes the charger more efficient and economical than any other unit. Your motive power investment is protected by our interchangeable controllers and retrofits, which allow upgrades at a fraction of the cost of a new charger.

Maintenance-Free System

Interstate can provide maintenance-free sealed batteries that require no watering for the life of the batteries. They are ideally suited for medium- and light-duty applications, which can benefit from eliminating routine maintenance requirements. The bat­tery can be matched with the Ferro Sealed Charger or selected Interstate chargers equipped with a sealed ret­rofit kit. The sealed charger allows full charging in about eight hours while preserving the battery’s maintenance-free capability.

Management Systems

SmartBattery^®II is a low-profile, battery-management module mounted onto the battery top. By monitoring battery status, SmartBatteryII helps you manage battery fleets, reduce operating costs and maximize battery life.

Controls

Standard charger controls continually monitor voltage, providing protection against undercharging, overcharging and overheating. Charging times adjust to battery condi­tions, and equalization can be set manually or automatically.
